She was working at the call center when a brutal murder case took place and in the process of investigating, her father was killed. Kang Kwon-joo ( Lee Ha-na) is a tough policewoman who is gifted with perfect psycho-acoustics skills and went for voice profiling. Finally, the choice of leading with an image from a repository centered on cultures of a region in the Global South – the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art – reflects the intentionality with which One More Voice seeks to direct its work against dominant Eurocentric narratives of history and creativity.Moo Jin-hyuk ( Jang Hyuk) is a "mad dog" detective who becomes guilt-ridden after his wife was murdered while he was at work. The textile’s colors, additionally, have set the basis of the One More Voice site colors as a whole, thereby allowing the site – throughout its pages – to underscore visually and symbolically its efforts to honor, restore, and foreground the work of creators historically excluded from English literary studies. The image, which represents the work of a local West African artist, also points to the roots of One More Voice in African Studies and to the fact that a large part of the site’s recovered texts are by African creators. As the lead image of the site’s “solidarity” edition (2022), the image alludes to the fact that the efforts of One More Voice are fundamentally relational and that the project's main efforts center on collaboration with individuals and other projects.
